Question 1

How soon can you start?

Accepted Answer

As soon as our current job finishes — because we work one job at a time until it stands finished. When we give you a start date, it goes in writing before we begin, and it's a date we've protected by not stacking jobs on top of each other.

Question 2

Do you give written estimates?

Accepted Answer

Yes — every estimate becomes a written scope and a written start date before any work begins. If it isn't in writing, you can't hold anyone to it, and we want you to be able to hold us to it.

Question 3

Do I need a permit for my project?

Accepted Answer

It depends on the project and the county. Fences and remodels often need one. Okaloosa County runs permitting through Growth Management (with Destin, Fort Walton Beach, Niceville, and Crestview handling their own in-city permits). Walton County runs through its building division in DeFuniak Springs, Santa Rosa County through Milton, Escambia through county development services or the City of Pensacola, and Bay County through builders services or the beach and city offices. We sort out which applies to your address as part of the estimate.

Question 4

Do you do roofs, windows, or exterior doors?

Accepted Answer

No. Roofing, window replacement, exterior doors, and structural work are outside what we do, on purpose — those trades deserve a specialist who does them every day. If that's what you need, we'll say so at the estimate and point you toward the right kind of contractor for it.

Question 5

What payment do you take?

Accepted Answer

Cash, credit, Zelle, Venmo, and Cash App.

Question 6

How long does a bathroom remodel take?

Accepted Answer

It depends on scope — mainly whether plumbing moves, what selections you make, and what the subfloor looks like once it's open. What we can promise is a written schedule before we start, work on your job every full workday, and updates the whole way through.

Question 7

Do you move plumbing?

Accepted Answer

Yes, within the room — moving a drain, supply line, or fixture location is part of many bathroom remodels. Structural changes like removing load-bearing walls are not something we do.

Question 8

What fence material lasts longest on the coast?

Accepted Answer

Aluminum and vinyl handle salt air best and ask the least of you afterward. Wood looks the warmest and costs the least up front but wants regular care here. Chain link with vinyl coating is the durable workhorse. The honest answer depends on your distance from open water — we'll walk your yard and lay out the trade-offs.

Question 9

How deep do you set fence posts?

Accepted Answer

Deeper than the inland habit. Sandy soil grips a post far less than clay, so we size depth and concrete to the soil on your lot. Shallow posts in sand are why so many fences around here lean after their first big blow.

Question 10

What happens on weather days?

Accepted Answer

You hear about weather days and holidays from us — no silent disappearances. Summer storms are part of building on the Gulf Coast; going quiet about them doesn't have to be.

Question 11

Do you handle cleanup?

Accepted Answer

Yes — daily cleanup while the job runs, full haul-away of demolition and old materials, and a final walk-around with you before we pull out.

Question 12

What happens if something goes wrong after the job?

Accepted Answer

You call or message us, and any concern gets answered within a day. The final walk-around isn't the last time you hear from us.

Question 13

Will the owner actually be on my job?

Accepted Answer

Yes. William Hart is on site from day one. When you call, you're talking to the person who was standing on your job that morning — not a call center relaying a message.
